near destruction and decay. Is it a collective Jungian archetype?

The legend goes that the Nazis visited Picasso in his studio, when they saw this picture. “Ah, so you did this!”, they said. Smart Picasso replied “No, YOU did this!” Picasso still believed that the Nazis tested their weapons in Francos’ Spanish little town Guernica during the civil war. None of them dared to face the truth, that a single giant turtle was responsible. Unarmed.
